Anuncia Sheinbaum desaparición del cuerpo de granaderos

Durante su toma de protesta como la primera Jefa de Gobierno electa de la Ciudad de México, Claudia Sheinbaum aseguró que a partir del 1 de enero de 2019 se llevará a cabo la desaparición definitiva del cuerpo de granaderos, como una de las demandas heredadas del movimiento de 1968. Dicha petición será realizada a la Secretaría de la Seguridad Pública, de acuerdo con las facultades que le otorga la Constitución de la capital del país.

“La policía está para cuidar al pueblo y no se requieren cuerpos para reprimirlo”, señaló la nueva mandataria capitalina, quien en su juventud formó parte de movimientos estudiantiles. Detalló que los elementos del cuerpo de granaderos pasarán a formar parte de otros agrupamientos, para ayudar a la ciudadanía en materia de protección civil.
