El día de ayer, durante sesión, el pleno del Congreso de Nayarit, aprobaron por mayoría, la inhabilitación del exgobernador, Roberto Sandoval Castañeda, durante 12 años, 10 meses y 15 días para poder ocupar cualquier cargo público, esto debido a que lo encontraron responsable del uso indebido de recursos y fondos públicos, además de violar la equidad parcial e imparcial en una elección, así como la Constitución Local.
Sandoval Castañeda será notificado durante los próximos días, y deberá presentar por escrito su defensa ante la Comisión de Enjuiciamiento del Congreso, quien posteriormente otorgarán su conclusión y pondrán ante el pleno para que avalen o rechacen; de acuerdo a la información brindada, el exgobernador es culpable del desvío de recursos del Programa de Seguridad Alimentaria para la campaña de Manuel Cota en 2017.
