Corea del Norte cierra instalaciones de pruebas nucleares

Pionyang, Corea del Norte. Con el objetivo de cumplir con el acuerdo pacífico, Corea del Norte realizó el cierre y destrucción de Punggye-ri, la base de pruebas nucleares ubicada en una zona montañosa al norte del país asiático. El suceso tuvo lugar el día de hoy y fue presenciado por diversos medios de comunicación, y de acuerdo con la agencia oficial norcoreana:

“El Instituto de Armas Nucleares de la RPDC (República Popular Democrática de Corea) organizó una ceremonia para desmantelar por completo el sitio de ensayos nucleares del Norte el 24 de mayo, para garantizar la transparencia del fin de las pruebas nucleares”.

Periodistas señalan que a las 11 de la mañana, se registró la primera explosión en el túnel norte, el cual es simbólico debido a que en ese lugar se llevaron a cabo cinco de las seis pruebas nucleares. Cabe mencionar que el país incumplió su promesa de invitar a expertos en el tema para corroborar la destrucción de las instalaciones, por lo que existen dudas acerca de este medida pacífica.
