En el marco de la Feria Internacional del Turismo (FITUR) 2019, se reconoció al estado de Yucatán, por ser una entidad que se mantiene a la vanguardia en materia turística; por lo que se le entregó el Premio Excelencias Turísticas 2018, mismo que fue recibido por el gobernador Mauricio Vila Dosal, quien reiteró las oportunidades de inversión y negocios que ofrece Yucatán como destino turístico.

El gobierno estatal, fue galardonado con el proyecto Estrategia Turística Yucatán Turístico 360; la cual impulso el actual mandatario, que dentro de sus principales objetivos tiene la generación de inversión internacional, plataforma de la marca, así como detonante de mejora de la calidad de vida de los yucatecos, mediante el desarrollo sostenible.
